All dogs must be current on vaccines. Owner's must bring proof of vaccinations.
   


 
 
Motivational Obedience Training
Your obedience program begins with a private evaluation of your pack. An experienced professional will assess your pack’s personality and training needs. This lesson will also give you the tools to begin your training program. Your dog will then be placed in the right group class, or assigned a private program. (The cost of this initial evaluation/private lesson is $25)

We utilize many motivationally based techniques to help you and your canine friend form a relationship built on trust and respect. Group classes and socialization will aid in the delicate development of your beloved canine into a confident, well-adjusted companion. Working in a group allows your team to become comfortable with social situations. This is important so that your dog’s training doesn’t crumble around strange people and dogs. Having fun is the key. There will be plenty of that in class.

Let’s face it we can all get our pals to sit in the kitchen for a cookie. What is the real test? Can they perform such tricks amidst the chaos of a multitude of distractions? You bet they can. This is what we can do for you.

Group Classes
Puppy Kindergarten

This class is designed for puppies from 9 weeks to 5 months old. Start here with puppy manners and you will avoid having to break bad habits later. Problem solving clinics will include but not be limited to house soiling, separation anxiety, social issues, chewing, jumping, pulling on the leash, bite inhibition, barking, nutritional counseling and over all annoying or bad behaviors. Lots of puppy plays in this class!!!

Classes are held either Thursday evenings at 7pm or Saturday mornings at 11am. There are seven consecutive meetings one hour long.  The cost of the puppy program is $149.

Basic Obedience Class

Are you tired of:
Jumping Up? Pulling on The Leash? Aggression? Nipping?
Pushy Behavior? Biting? Dog Fights? Bolting? Barking?
Housebreaking or Marking Issues? Nutritional Deficiencies?
Eating Stools? Allergies? Eating Rocks?
Don’t give up ~ we can really help!

This class is designed for dogs 6 months and older. We will address all doggie dilemmas listed above including your basic obedience commands including sit, down, stay, heel and walking on a leash, off, leave it, watch me, the recall and eventually mild corrections.
Owners will learn to use a working vocabulary and body language with their pooch, to ensure a happier home for the owners and pup.

Classes are held Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7pm or Saturdays at 9:30am. There are seven consecutive meetings one hour long. The cost of the basic program is $149.

Basic Refresher Classes

Basic obedience classes may also be utilized as a refresher class for our basic graduates. This is a pay as you go program. The cost is $10 per class.
Note: Please call to let us know you are planning to join the class.
   
Private Lessons

Private lessons are scheduled on an individual basis. Instruction will cover all basic obedience commands and problems listed above. Lessons will be geared toward the owners’ and dogs’ individual needs. Many problem-solving techniques will be discussed.
Clients will be introduced to some off leash training.

Private lessons are taught at your home or at J.M. K-9. Price varies according to where the lessons are taught.

4 Private In-Home Lessons ~ $300
plus 2 Free Group Classes OR a Free Doggie Daycare Evaluation
Note: Travel charges may apply depending on location.
   

4 Private Lessons at J.M. K-9 ~ $280
plus 2 Free Group Classes OR a Free Doggie Daycare Evaluation
Individual lessons $50 - $150 depending on reason for visit, length of lesson and location.
